Baby Potatoes Green Peas Curry – Aloo Mutter Masala

How to make Baby Potatoes Green Peas curry

Preparation Time : 12 – 15 Minutes
Cooking Time : 20 – 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large Onions, sliced
  • 2 large Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 8 – 10 boiled Baby Potatoes
  • 2 dry Red Chilies
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 4 Cloves
  • 4 Black Pepper
  • 4 Elachi
  • 4 – 5 Garlic
  • A small piece Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Dhaniya powder
  • 1 tbsp zeera
  • salt per taste
  • 3 large tbsp Oil

Method

Heat a pan add 1 tbsp oil.

Add Onion, dry red chilies, Bay leaves, Cloves, Black Pepper, Elachi, Ginger and Garlic.

Let all the ingredients fry until the onion turn to brown color.

Now heat other pan, add oil to it. Fry the tomatoes in the oil until they get smashed.Tomato Frying

Let both the mixture get cool for few seconds.Onion Tomato Fry ready to grind

Now grind both mixture to paste separately.Onion Gravy and Tomato Puree

Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan
Start seasoning with zeera, Hing and Green peas.Seasoning with Grean Peas

Now add onion paste to the seasoning and fry till it change its color to brown. When Onion paste start to leave oil then they are cooked.Grean Peas with Onion Gravy

Later add Tomato puree to the Onion mixture. Temper the gravy with garam masala, red chilly powder, dhaniya powder and cook until it become a thick gravyOnion Tomato Gravy

Add 1 cup water to the Onion Tomato gravy and cook on slow flame for 5 – 10 minutes.Onion Tomato Gravy Boiling

After the onion tomato gravy is ready, now add boiled baby Potatoes and cook for few minutes.Boiled Potatoes
