Cooking Onion Tomato rice is very easy. All the ingredients are very easily available at home and it takes very less time to prepare it.

Ingredients

Onion Tomato Rice Ingredients

  • 1 Cup cooked rice
  • 2 Medium sized onions, cut into slices
  • 2 Medium sized tomatoes, cut into slices
  • 3 Green chills
  • 3 Dried red chillis
  • 2 Stem curry leaves
  • 5-6 Black Pepper
  • 4-5 cinnamon [दालचीनी]
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander for garnish

Onion Tomato Rice

Onion Tomato Rice Preparation

  1. Make a paste of green chills, dry red chillis, and curry leaves.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add black pepper seeds and cinnamon.
  3. Add the paste (green chills, dry red chillis, and curry leaves) to the oil.
  4. Add onion; cook until they turn slightly brown.
  5. Later on add tomatoes to the onion, stir it for a minute.
  6. Salt as per taste.
  7. Now the onion-tomato mixture is ready.
  8. Add the mixture to the cooked rice.
  9. Garnish the Onion Tomato rice with coriander.
  10. Onion Tomato rice is ready to serve.
