How to prepare Sweet Corn Rice – स्वीट मक्का राइस विधि

Sweet Corn is nothing but the maize, Earlier it was eaten as a grain – maize, but now as a vegetable – sweet corn. Children are found of sweet corn as they become tasty after boiling and adding masala. You can prepare many recipes with the help of Sweet Corn like Soups, Rice, Pakodas and many more. Sweet Corn is reach in Vitamin B and C, magnesium and potassium.

Here I will show you how to prepare Sweet Corn Rice which is tasty as well as very easy and takes short time to make.

Ingredients to Make Sweet Corn Rice

1 cup Cooked Rice
1 Cup Boiled Sweet corn
1 medium size Onion
3 medium size Green chilies
5 – 7 Curry leaves
4 – 5 medium size Garlic cloves
as per taste salt
2 – 3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp Jeera/cumin
1/2 tbsp Hing/asafoetida
 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 Cup Boiled Sweet corn
  • 1 medium size Onion
  • 3 medium size Green chilies
  • 5 - 7 Curry leaves
  • 4 - 5 medium size Garlic cloves
  • as per taste salt
  • 2 - 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Jeera/cumin
  • ½ tbsp Hing/asafoetida
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a pan on low flame.
  2. As the oil is hot add Jeera and Hing.
  3. Now Add Green Chilly and Curry leaves. Fry them for a second.
  4. Now add Onion and fry still they are brown.
  5. Make the paste of 1 green chilly and garlic cloves and add to the onion.
  6. Then Add Boiled Sweet Corn to the onion..
  7. Later on add salt to taste.
  8. Let the mixture cook for few minutes
  9. Now add the mixture to the cooked rice.
  10. Garnish with the coriander leaves and serve it hot.
Notes
