How to Make Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe – The Home Way

People are fond of eating hot and spicier rather than eating sweets. So, Vegetable Fried Rice is the best and tasty dish for hot and spicy food eaters. It is healthy for children as it contains many vegetables and it is non-oily.

As all the veggies are stir fry it is named as Vegetable Fried rice. These Fried rice can be had with gravy, chutney, raita, plain curd and can be eaten as it is.

How to Cook Rice

Ingredients
1 cup rice
2 cup water
Salt to taste
1 tbsp oil

Procedure

  • Wash the rice in the running water.
  • Soak rice in the water for 1 hour and let to rest.
  • Drain all the water from the rice.
  • Now add 2 cup water to the rice and cook it. Do not close the lid.
  • After the rice is cooked drain the excess water from the rice if any.
  • Keep aside and let it cool at a room temperature.

Ingredients For Vegetable Fried Rice

  • 1 1/2 cup Vegetables(Onion, Carrot, Beans, Capsicum and Spring Onion whites finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup spring Onion leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt as required
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

Procedure To Prepare Vegetable Fried Rice

  • Heat a pan add 4 tbsp oil to it.
  • Now add Onion, Carrot, Beans, Capsicum, and Spring onion whites to the oil.
  • Add salt and stir the vegetables so that they will be evenly cooked.
  • Then add Ginger and Garlic paste.
  • Now add Black Pepper powder, Soy Sauce and Tomato Sauce and stir for few seconds.
  • Now lastly add spring onion leaves and stir it properly.
  • Mix the vegetable mixture with the cooked rice properly.
  • Garnish the Vegetable Fried Rice with Coriander.
